U.S. Chamber of Commece – A Front Organization

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce was organized in 1912 as honorable organization to help American business interests. Today, however, it has become a front organization to influence the electFraudion of judges and to engage in a national covert campaign to influence the outcome of judicial and other elections but at the same time, keeping the real source of the money it uses, secret. It’s purpose is to cripple the American civil justice system in favor of big business. It has become a front for multinational corporations and the business industry as a funnel for their millions spent in it’s name. To accomplish this it created the "Institute for Legal Reform" and the "Voters Education Committee" to conceal the real source of the millions it spends around the U.S. For the first time in it’s history it endorsed a presidential candidate, George W. Bush. It went on to be a cover for the millions funneled through it into the presidential campaign in support of the Republican candidate. Since then it has spent millions and millions of dollars to defeat judges it doesn’t consider enough pro business and elect ones that are, along with it’s other political activities. It’s activities have been described by Forbes Magazine as "a secret war on judges…" The political money is funneled in such a way that it is next to impossible to track the source of the money. The Chamber’s front groups aren’t required to tell how much money is spent on individual races, nor identify the source of the money nor reveal much at all about this "secret" campaign. For example, in Washington state, money was funneled through the Chamber for mud slinging political ads against the Democratic candidate for Attorney General on the eve of election in 2004. After having a comfortable lead, the Democrat lost. The Chamber insisted it didn’t have to identify the real source of the huge amounts spent in it’s name for the attack ads. Americans generally despise deceptive and fraudulent conduct. They expect honesty and straight forwardness from organizations like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. They aren’t getting it and they deserve fair dealing, not fraudulent conduct from this group. The American justice system is too important to tolerate this unfair conduct.
