PUBLIC RADIO TO OFFER PROGRAM ABOUT THE PAUL SATKO STORY
In may of this year I wrote about the fascinating story of Paul Satko and his family going to Alaska on a home built boat during the depression. See https://paulluverajournalonline.com/weblog/2011/05/university-of-washington-tacoma-history-professor-michael-sullivan-called-me-about-something-that-happened-in-anacortes-bac.html Professor Michael Sullivan has been researching the story and publishing it for some time. He has just notified me that there will be a broadcast on public radio which I recommend you listen to. Professor Sullivan said:
Hello Mr. Luvera. I hope those with an interest in the story of Satko's Ark will check out the website we have built to accompany the audio documentary on this improbable journey story. The 9 episode documentary will be broadcast on KOUW-FM, 94.9 beginning on February 20. It will run on the Weekday program with Steve Sher between 9a and 11a. The episodes are different lengths so we don't have a specific time for each broadcast but you will be able to listen to the episodes, look and photos and images and listen to unedited interviews at the website. Its; www.satkosark.org And thanks for yor help Paul as well as your sisters in Anacortes. Michael Sullivan

This is really cool to read. My great grandpa & grandma were Ernest (I believe people called him Bumbie) and Babe, my grandparents were Rich and Augie Babarovich. I love hearing stories about my family, and am planning a future trip to Splitska, Croatia. Thank you for sharing this history.
