WELL, TEXAN REPUBLICANS, HOW DO YOU LIKE DE-REGULATION NOW?

WELL, TEXAN REPUBLICANS, HOW DO YOU LIKE DE-REGULATION NOW?

Texas, the “go it alone” state, has had a lesson about not regulating vital public industries like electrical service provided to a state or community. Texas rejected federal electricity regulations and a shared high-voltage connection with neighboring states. Republican political leaders in Texas have prized the states “self-reliance”, and it’s” go it alone” ideas and it’s cheap power. They brag about the states deregulation of the grid for bringing inexpensive electricity to the states resident and businesses. Rick Perry, former…

THE SILENCE IS ALMOST DEAFENING – ISN’T IT WONDERFUL?

THE SILENCE IS ALMOST DEAFENING – ISN’T IT WONDERFUL?

What silence you say? I’m talking, of course, about the fact that Donald Trump, the ex-president of the United States, was permanently suspended by Twitter Inc from using his account @real DonaldTrump. He was indefinitely  suspended from using his Facebook and Instagam accounts as well.  Isn’t it wonderful? Why? Because we are talking about a flood of messages during his term of office. He tweeted or retweeted approximately 3,500 times in 2018. But that grew to 7,700 times in 2019….

SHOULD DONALD TRUMP BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE OR NOT?

SHOULD DONALD TRUMP BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE OR NOT?

Republican members of congress who were incensed at the president for causing an out-of-control mob to march on the capital building are now quickly backing away from sanction or impeachment out of fear of Trump’s political power. Should he be convicted? Does the constitution provide for an impeachment conviction after a president has left office? Should anything be done or should we just move forward with our new administration? It is clear the president was the instigator of inflaming a…

WHY DO WE “THROW GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD” IN OUR DECISION MAKING?

WHY DO WE “THROW GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD” IN OUR DECISION MAKING?

We have all had in our lifetime the experience of trying to talk someone out of making the same bad decisions they have made in the past that led them to pain and trouble. In spite of all of the logical good reasons we use, while saying they agree with us, they nevertheless have continued to make the same bad decisions again. In fact, if we are honest with ourselves, we do the very same thing. We repeat conduct which…
